Introduction: The common cold and cough are common ailments that can be treated effectively using Ayurvedic remedies. Here are a few home remedies to alleviate the symptoms and promote healing.

Ginger and Honey Tea: Boil water and add freshly grated ginger. Let it steep for a few minutes, strain, and add honey. Drink this concoction several times a day to soothe a sore throat and relieve congestion.

Turmeric Milk: Warm a cup of milk and add a teaspoon of turmeric powder. Stir well and drink before bedtime. Turmeric's anti-inflammatory properties can help reduce cough and boost immunity.

Steam Inhalation: Boil water and transfer it to a bowl. Add a few drops of eucalyptus or peppermint oil. Cover your head with a towel and inhale the steam. It helps clear nasal congestion and eases breathing.

Honey and Tulsi (Holy Basil) Syrup: Crush a few tulsi leaves and extract the juice. Mix equal parts of tulsi juice and honey. Take a teaspoon of this syrup two to three times a day to relieve cough and soothe the throat.

Saltwater Gargle: Mix half a teaspoon of salt in warm water and gargle with it several times a day. Saltwater helps reduce throat inflammation and kill bacteria, providing relief from a sore throat.
